As Strategic Business Development Manager – Port Solutions, you develop and grow OceanScore’s relationships within the global port ecosystem. You identify and advance strategic opportunities, shape port-specific solutions together with product and data teams, and act as a trusted advisor to port authorities on how to leverage emissions data for environmental transparency, incentive design, and regulatory alignment. This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role combining strategic thinking with active commercial development; building relationships, shaping opportunities, and contributing directly to OceanScore’s growth in the port segment. Please note that this is an on-site position in our Hamburg Office. Your Key Responsibilities Stakeholder Networking: You build and maintain a relevant network across the global port ecosystem, positioning OceanScore as a trusted partner for emissions intelligence and environmental transparency while strengthening our visibility in the market. Commercial Development: You identify, structure, and advance high-value partnership opportunities with ports worldwide, building a robust pipeline of strategic collaborations and commercial engagements. Strategic Product Development: Working closely with our Product and Data teams, you translate port needs into further product developments for our port solutions and incentive schemes. Strategic Partnership Development: You support port authorities and industry stakeholders in understanding how vessel emissions data can inform environmental policies, differentiated port dues, incentive schemes, and reporting frameworks, acting as a trusted discussion partner in strategic conversations. Scheme Expansion: You evaluate how existing port incentive schemes could be integrated into the broader OceanScore environment, coordinate stakeholder discussions and negotiations together with leadership as well as manage the operational follow-through of potential integrations. What you bring: You bring strong experience in maritime, port governance, maritime sustainability, or maritime strategy, combined with a strong track record in strategic partnerships, business development, or ecosystem development. You have a solid understanding of environmental and regulatory pressures facing ports, including maritime emissions frameworks and port climate objectives. You are familiar with port incentive mechanisms, including differentiated port dues and initiatives such as the Environmental Ship Index (ESI). You are experienced in engaging with senior stakeholders in the port or maritime sector and building trust-based relationships. An established network within the port community (e.g. through IAPH or similar organisations) is highly valuable.
