While reporting to the IT Head, your role is for managing and supporting an organization’s IT systems, ensuring smooth operations, security, and alignment with business needs. Role & Responsibilities Provide day-to-day IT support to office users and production teams for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, barcode devices, and other IT equipment.Support manufacturing-related applications such as ERP/MIS, production reporting systems, and shop-floor IT systems.Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN networks, internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, and basic server operations.Manage user accounts, email systems, access rights, and permissions.Perform regular data backups, system updates, antivirus checks, and basic cybersecurity controls.Coordinate with external vendors, ERP providers, machine suppliers, and IT service partners.Maintain IT asset inventory, licenses, documentation, and SOPs.Provide IT support during system upgrades, new machine installations, and plant expansions.Ensure minimal downtime of IT systems impacting production and business operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in IT support or IT operations, preferably in a manufacturing or process industry.Experience supporting ERP or MIS systems is preferred.Relevant IT certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, Networking, or Cybersecurity) will be an added advantage. Technical Skills & Knowledge Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and computer hardware.Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WAN, routers, switches, Wi-Fi).Familiarity with Microsoft 365, email systems, and common business applications.Basic knowledge of servers, backups, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices.Exposure to shop-floor systems, industrial PCs, or production IT environments is desirable. Other Requirements Ability to troubleshoot issues under time pressure in a production environment.Good communication skills to support non-technical users.Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.Willingness to provide on-call or after-hours support during breakdowns or system upgrades.Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
